WHAT IT IS

Religious Inquiry — 問事 — is a tradition of bringing personal questions before the Buddhas through the guidance of a master. You bring a specific concern; the response is a meeting of the practical and the contemplative.

The approach is contemplative, not oracular. Your question is examined within the framework of Buddhist understanding — the workings of karma, the practice of skillful means, the recognition of attachment.

Meet with the temple

You meet the temple master privately in a quiet space. You describe the question; the master listens and offers counsel grounded in the Dharma.

Receive guidance

The counsel points toward both the practical resolution and the deeper Dharma understanding. What is shared remains between you, the master, and the Three Jewels.
